2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device, usually to remember something about you between visits. Cookies are commonly used for keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring traffic, and building advertising profiles.
3. What we use instead
This website is a set of static pages. It does not need to remember you, so it does not try to. When you enter your email address to request access, that address is sent straight to our database and stored there — it is not written to your device.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google’s servers. Google may log that request, including your IP address, as part of serving the file. No cookie is set by us in the process.
4. The mobile app
The CANOPY mobile app does not use cookies. It keeps your login session in your device’s local storage so you are not signed out every time you close it. That session data stays on your phone and is only used to authenticate you with our servers.
5. If this ever changes
If we introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary — for example analytics to understand which features get used — we will show a consent banner before a single one is set, and you will be able to decline without losing access to anything. We will update this page and the Privacy Policy before that happens.
6. Managing cookies generally
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings. Because this site sets none, blocking them will not affect how it works.
